HYPR Send-In Service Limited Warranty Policy

Read this warranty before using your serviced controller

This Limited Warranty applies to send-in modification and repair services performed by HYPR Controllers. It covers only the parts installed by HYPR and the workmanship directly related to the services listed on the customer’s order, subject to the terms below.

1.

What the send-in warranty covers

This limited warranty applies to the original send-in customer, or the intended gift recipient identified by that customer, and covers only the service listed on the HYPR order. Proof of purchase and the serviced controller’s identity are required.

One-year (12-month) coverage

  • Replacement sticks, rear controls, triggers, bumpers, shells, buttons, or other parts installed by HYPR and listed on the order.
  • Soldering, wiring, fitment, calibration, programming, and other workmanship directly performed by HYPR.
  • A covered installed feature that stops operating to its released specification during normal use.
  • Direct damage caused by HYPR while the controller is in our custody.
Coverage startsWhen you receive the serviced controller back from HYPR.

The warranty continues for one year (12 months). A repaired or replaced HYPR part remains protected for the longer of the original warranty balance or 90 days from its return to you.

2.

Seven-day free part replacement

Report a defect in a HYPR-installed part or HYPR workmanship within seven calendar days after receiving the serviced controller. Once verified, HYPR will replace the affected installed part or redo the affected service at no charge and cover reasonable standard two-way shipping within the Philippines.

This does not replace the customer’s whole controller.

The send-in warranty replaces the defective part installed by HYPR or corrects HYPR workmanship. A whole-controller remedy applies only when HYPR directly caused irreparable damage while the controller was in our custody or when applicable law requires another remedy.

3.

What is not covered

Original or pre-existing parts

The customer’s mainboard and any factory or third-party component HYPR did not replace, modify, damage, or list on the service order.

Bluetooth and connection issues

Wireless pairing, intermittent connection, console or PC compatibility, networks, drivers, games, and platform or controller firmware.

Ports, power, and batteries

USB, charging, or data ports; batteries; cables; chargers; power delivery; or surge damage unless that exact component was installed by HYPR and listed on the order.

Physical damage

Drops, blunt force, crushing, throwing, cracked housings, bent parts, punctures, or shipping damage caused by unsafe customer packing.

Normal wear and tear

Expected aging or wear of rubber caps, coatings, grips, plastics, finishes, labels, and consumable or contact surfaces.

Liquid or environment

Moisture, liquid, chemical, corrosion, insect, dirt, fire, or extreme-temperature damage arising after service.

Tampering or later work

Opening, self-repair, unauthorized firmware, or third-party work where it caused the fault or prevents HYPR from reliably assessing its installed part.

Unrelated factory functions

Speaker, microphone, touchpad, haptics, vibration, motion sensor, headset jack, lights, and factory controls HYPR did not service.

If inspection shows that HYPR’s work directly damaged an original component, that is a workmanship issue and is not excluded. A later failure in an unrelated original component does not become covered simply because HYPR previously opened or serviced the controller.

4.

Controlled diagnostics and final QA

Controlled diagnostic standard

HYPR’s controlled test bench and QA process are the primary reference for hardware diagnosis, repair verification, and warranty assessment.

Why We Use a Controlled Test Bench

The purpose of HYPR’s controlled test bench is not to disregard a customer’s experience. It removes external variables so the controller itself can be tested objectively, consistently, and repeatably.

What we test

We test the controller itself and its raw input signals to verify whether buttons, triggers, sticks, and other inputs are detected and reported correctly, including stick response, centering, and range. A known test setup lets us check the controller’s own input reports before assessing how they behave in a customer’s setup. Console or PC configuration, Bluetooth and other wireless connections, firmware, games, software, mappings, cables, adapters, and customer settings are controlled or checked separately when relevant. We also inspect the housing, fit, fasteners, installed parts, workmanship, and relevant electrical connections.

Customer evidence and suggested causes

Your videos and test results are valuable evidence of the reported symptom. On their own, they do not establish its root cause or prove that a HYPR repair failed. Suggested causes, such as a Flex PCB, stick module, or Bluetooth fault, are treated as hypotheses. HYPR determines the hardware diagnosis through controlled testing and physical or electrical inspection.

When the issue cannot be reproduced at intake

If HYPR cannot reproduce the reported issue during intake testing, we document that condition, the test setup, and the checks performed. With your approval, HYPR may still perform the agreed service based on the reported symptom. The intake record distinguishes what you reported from what HYPR was able to reproduce.

What passing final QA means

Final QA documents the controller’s tested condition at the time of release. If the relevant function passes documented final QA, it is considered to have passed service at release under the recorded test conditions. This confirms the result for the functions tested; it does not establish that every possible intermittent fault is absent.

Recurring, intermittent, or disputed issues

A later recurrence does not automatically establish that the original repair was defective. For a recurring, intermittent, or disputed hardware issue, the controller must be returned to HYPR for reassessment under the controlled test procedure. Contact HYPR for return instructions first. Remote troubleshooting helps document symptoms and test conditions, but does not by itself determine hardware liability for these issues.

When customer results differ from bench results

HYPR may investigate further using your evidence and the conditions you report. Hardware warranty decisions are based primarily on reproducible bench testing and physical or electrical inspection. We explain the findings, including when an issue remains unconfirmed. A passing release record does not automatically rule out a later covered fault, and failure to reproduce a symptom does not mean your experience is disregarded.

HYPR’s QA record supports a fair before-and-after assessment. It is not used to dismiss a later defect automatically, and it does not expand coverage to original parts that HYPR did not service.

5.

How to make a warranty claim

Contact HYPR before sending anything. A controller mailed or dropped off without claim instructions may be delayed or returned.

  1. 01

Report it within the warranty period

Message HYPR with your order number, purchaser name, date received, controller model, and a clear description of when the issue happens.

  2. 02

    Share a clear symptom video

When you can capture the issue, keep the controller in frame while the same recording shows the results on the Gamepad Tester diagnostic page or another testing tool HYPR approves. Show the neutral input state, demonstrate the fault more than once when possible, and avoid cuts or filters.

  3. 03

Help us document the test conditions

HYPR may ask for a second angle, a wired test, a reset, or another safe troubleshooting step to understand when the symptom occurs. These remote checks guide the assessment; they do not replace the bench reassessment required by the controlled diagnostic standard.

  4. 04

    Follow HYPR’s return instructions

When bench reassessment is required, HYPR will issue return instructions before you send the controller. Pack it securely, remove detachable accessories, and use a trackable courier. Keep your shipment receipt.

  5. 05

    Inspection and resolution

HYPR assesses the returned controller using the controlled diagnostic standard, compares the findings with your evidence and the release QA record, and explains the diagnosis and coverage decision. Only the HYPR-installed part and related workmanship are assessed under this policy.

Why we ask for a video

It creates a shared record of the reported symptom and helps us reproduce the conditions you experienced. If information is incomplete or unclear, HYPR will explain what is needed to continue the assessment. An issue that is not captured on video still requires assessment; lack of remote reproduction alone does not decide the claim.

If a disability, device limitation, or the nature of the fault makes the requested recording impractical, tell HYPR. We may arrange equivalent evidence or an in-person assessment instead.

6.

Fair use and claim integrity

Fair use includes ordinary personal and competitive gaming. Playing frequently or filing a legitimate repeat claim does not, by itself, cancel your warranty.

Fair use includes

  • Personal gaming and normal competitive play.
  • Using supported consoles, PCs, games, and standard controller settings.
  • Truthful claims supported by the controller’s serial or order identity.
  • Following safe care, charging, packing, and troubleshooting instructions.

Warranty abuse includes

  • Swapping units or parts, reusing proof from another controller, or hiding third-party work.
  • Editing evidence to create or exaggerate a fault, or deliberately damaging a unit to trigger coverage.
  • Sending duplicate claims for an issue already resolved without showing that it returned.
  • Rental, public-use, testing-fleet, or other commercial use unless HYPR agreed to coverage in writing.

HYPR may refuse a fraudulent, abusive, or duplicate claim and will explain the evidence-based reason. This rule does not remove any remedy the customer has under applicable law. Normal use of the customer’s original controller does not expand this send-in warranty beyond HYPR-installed parts and HYPR workmanship.

7.

Repair, replacement, and shipping

Days 8 to 365

For a confirmed covered fault reported after the first seven days, HYPR will repair the work or replace the affected HYPR-installed part without a service charge. The customer sends the controller to HYPR using a trackable service; HYPR covers standard domestic return shipping for an approved claim.

If the issue is outside scope

HYPR will explain the controlled test and inspection findings and may offer a separate paid repair. No paid work proceeds without customer approval. The customer is responsible for return shipping when this assessment finds no covered fault or the issue is in an original, excluded, or customer-damaged component.

Resolution time

HYPR will acknowledge a complete claim as soon as reasonably possible, normally within two business days, and aims to complete an approved warranty remedy within 30 days after receiving the controller. Parts shortages, courier disruption, or other conditions outside HYPR’s control may extend that period; HYPR will provide an update if they do.
